“Education is what survives when what has been learned has been forgotten”
These wisdom words are rightly said by B.F. Skinner.
Most often in our schools and in our homes and at large in society, Education is very often (mis)understood as Good memory skills and reproducing tactics. Our grade systems and Ranks hold the “Intellects” high always and at times sideline the average but inquisitive child and often ignore the “slow bloomers”.
Is Knowledge Education? Does Information or details make someone clever? Is Education constrained to exams, ranks and results? Does it have something to do with life? Does Education make our children to know more and more and yet ignorant about life? Does it help young students to face life? Is our education Pragmatic, practical, sensible, down-to-earth and implementable?
With the New Pattern of Educational syllabus and Exam Pedagogy with the Trimester system to be implemented in the forthcoming Academic year, the importance on the coping skills of students is very much stressed and taken into consideration. We hope and Wish that the new pedagogy will make education more life oriented and better prepare our students to face Life in its essence.
“Lead us from darkness to light
from mortality to immortality
from ignorance to Wisdom”
